The Death of Intellect is being lead by Intellectuals...
We have seen in this 21st Century the death of intellect…
#RustyIrony, it is now being led by “progressive” intellectuals… in media,
academia and politics. Curiously the (now former) intellectual values of
science, seeking facts, questioning of assumptions and conclusions, seeking
Truth, rule of law, respect for the diversity of opinions and contrary points
of view… is now NOT to be tolerated. A new dogma and orthodoxy is the order of
the day. With the 'Net mobs on the prowl to silence ANY who violate this new
"party line" (whatever it is today)! The “progressives” who created and run “Big Tech”
(Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are now the vanguard of political correctness
(aka: PeeCee) and the censors of what speech and thought is to be allowed. Once the champions of these values… our
“progressive” intellectual classes now obviously hold them in vile
contempt. The bastions of learning and
knowledge, the college campus… now are the enforcers of this new “progressive
world order”!
I ask those who cheer this new “order” to realize their
freedoms are also on the chopping block… waiting for that time they may also dare to
disagree with their “progressive” Tech “feudal lord masters”.
